Izzy - January 2024:

My partner and I had an absolute wonderful stay here! The house is situated in a lovely little village, it is very peaceful and is in a beautiful setting. The house was very clean and it felt like a home from home. Sophie was a wonderful host and super helpful, there were clear instructions for everything we needed. We will definitely be staying again! Thank you for the lovely stay!

Adam - January 2024:

Lovely quiet home and Sophie was an excellent host! Thank you for a great stay!

Sharon - November 2023:

Fantastic place to stay and amazing location. Was so lovely to be somewhere quiet and peaceful and away from the bustle of busy lives. All the locals were so friendly and hardly any traffic. It was spotlessly clean and everything was immaculate. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend it as a place to stay to anyone.

Benjamin - October 2023:

The cottage is beautifully decorated, cosy and well equipped. Sophie was the perfect host, with lots of good recommendations and small touches that made us feel very welcome and ensured our stay was very comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to stay in a chic cottage in a lovely, quiet part of the world.

Anja - October 2023:

We had a nice time and enjoyed the quietness and beautiful scenery very much.

Ollie - October 2023:

Lovely place, well equipped and great value. Close to some great walks and scenery.

Megha - September 2023:

Lovely traditional house with wooden beams and stone flooring. Very clean with rooms as described. Friendly and responsive host, who left us some eggs, Welsh cakes and milk for our arrival.

Rosie - September 2023:

We thought it was great - very comfortable and spacious house - we’d love to come back another time.

Mark - September 2023:

This was one of our best ever holiday rentals (and we’ve done a lot!) The house was absolutely wonderful and so good that we kept extending our stay. Inside was both spacious and cosy, extremely comfortable, stylish, really well-equipped and put together with a lot of love and care. Although there were only 2 of us, it would be great for friends or family getting together for a celebration weekend (loads of dinnerware etc). Sophie was the perfect host: her communications were quick, friendly, amusing and full of useful information. Myddfai was a lovely location with walks from the door. We are already discussing our next trip! Unreservedly recommended.

Lowri - August 2023:

A lovely place and lovely host. The house is private and sizeable and easily accommodated us. Local area is stunning.

Laura - August 2023:

Beautiful home in a gorgeous village. Incredibly peaceful, we saw far more tractors than any other vehicle all week! The area is so interesting, the Physicians, the Lady of the Lake and royal neighbours. Highly recommended to disconnect and recentre.

Benjamin - August 2023:

Sophie’s house in Myddfai was a wonderful, beautifully-presented cottage. We really enjoyed the good selection of books, thoughtful little touches in the decorations and the well-equipped kitchen. The cottage has easy access to some great walks both from right outside the front door to longer more strenuous walks like Llan y Fan Fach. The village is very quiet but people friendly and welcoming - really good value for money for a family of 6!

Janine - July 2023:

Wonderful stay, lots of lovely walks nearby. Cute little village.

Robert - July 2023:

Lovely cottage, very clean, tidy and well equipped. Quiet location with walks from the doorstep and lots more in the local area. The Myddfai visitor centre is just round the corner with a cafe and little craft shop. Sophie provided lots of information about the cottage and local area and was very friendly and helpful.

Christina - July 2023:

We had an amazing few days staying at Sophie's cottage. The communication was excellent and the cottage was exactly as described. We wanted to do some walking, and we definitely got this and were close to the areas we wanted to visit. We also did some lovely local walks. I would definitely recommend for a peaceful retreat. Thank you for letting us stay at you beautiful cottage.

Grzegorz - May 2023:

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sophie's place and it was such a wonderful experience. The house was beautifully designed and immaculately clean, and it had all the amenities I needed to feel right at home. Sophie was a great host, always available to answer any questions I had and went above and beyond to make sure I had a comfortable stay. The location was perfect. I would highly recommend staying at Sophie's place - it was truly a great experience!

Gwyn - May 2023:

Great cottage in a beautiful and peaceful area. Despite being in a village it was very quiet and peaceful with hardly a car passing. Sophie was very responsive and welcoming regarding bringing our pets. The house had all the essentials for a good holiday cottage: comfortable beds with good quality bedding, great shower, well-equipped kitchen and pleasant lounge. The sunny, west-facing courtyard was wonderful to sit out in. Myddfai is a good base and the cafe and gift shop in the village hall was useful. We definitely hope to return.

Matthew - May 2023:

This is a lovely house, that has everything you would need for a stay in the area. It is much bigger than it looks outside, with ample space downstairs to relax. The bedrooms upstairs are large and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. Myddfai is well-placed to explore the area, one of Wales's most unspoiled regions. You can reach the mountains in 20 minutes, whilst the nearby town of Llandovery has a good Coop and several pubs and excellent cafes. Would definitely stay here again.

Rob - May 2023:

Lovely cottage with everything you could need. Quiet and peaceful location to get away from it all, and a great base for exploring the beautiful Brecon Beacons. Everything was made very easy by the host, Sophie.

Lauren - May 2023:

THE place for a quiet mini break! Myself being heavily pregnant needed some away time and it was a perfect place to unwind with my husband, best friend and her little one. The house felt so homely, the fresh bread and milk was a lovely welcome, and the hot water bottles in every room was such a nice touch. The cottage had everything we could have wanted or needed, it was perfect for the little one, baby gate, high chair, cot, just so handy, not to mention little birds nesting in the court yard. Our dog had lots of easy access to outside and the area has lots of incredible walks with magical views! Thank you for such a wonderful stay! We will be back! X

Alexia - April 2023:

A perfect stay in Sophie's beautiful house. Everything was impeccable - very well-equipped, excellent bedding. The village is beautiful - lots of hiking nearby. Thanks!! We'll definitely be back.

Bryan - April 2023:

Sophie is a great, responsive, and proactive host and we found that her place was like home from home. Very, very welcoming. The bedding, towels, furniture, kitchen, and bathroom were all clean and spotless. Sophie's place is in a quiet village with beautiful scenery and walks on your doorstep. We found the neighbouring towns of Llandovery and Llangadog brilliant places to get a tasty meal out of an evening if you fancied eating out.

Lorna - April 2023:

Very lovely property in beautiful surroundings. The house is very cosy and comfortable and we had a lovely peaceful stay. Sophie provided information on walks to do which was really helpful and we had a very special time here.

Rowena - March 2023:

We had a lovely weekend in Myddfai. The house was beautiful and easy to find. Everything was very clean and we had bread, milk and eggs left for us. The area is stunning and loads of great walks and pubs a short drive away.

Ollie - February 2023:

A great place , well equipped, super-clean in a quiet setting. Highly recommend.

Victoria - February 2023:

House was lovely and very homely with the wood burner. All the bedding was great quality and very cosy with hot water bottles and blankets. Very quiet area but has a great little cafe in the village and a good local town with plenty of options to eat. Will definitely visit again.

Paula - February 2023:

The photos do not do Sophie’s house justice. Whilst they convey the furnishings etc, the sense of peace and calm that hits once you’re inside the lovely thick stone walls is almost palpable. We are a family of 5, with very busy lives and we were able to unwind. Just a 5 minute walk takes you into beautiful countryside and the Brecon Beacons. We were extremely lucky with the weather and had beautiful sunshine throughout our stay. Definitely an area we will be back to.

Guy - February 2023:

Cracking place for exploring the Brecons. Thanks Sophie!

Gemma- January 2023:

Beautiful cosy house in a stunning location - so many lovely walks right from your front door. Stunning little peaceful village. Great little cafe and gift shop round the corner serving delicious home cooked lunches. Perfect place to relax by the fire after a day's exploring. Incredibly comfy beds. We would love to return one day!

Sean - January 2023:

Thank you Sophie , your beautiful cottage was absolutely perfect for our trip away with our 3 little girls as the cottage felt so homely, clean , and had everything we needed. Will 100 % recommend to friends and family .Honestly, the cottage was perfect. Would definitely come back again. Thanks for having us.

Richard - October 2022:

We really enjoyed our stay. We were a family of four plus very active spaniel! Sophie’s beautiful, cosy house had absolutely everything we needed (and more!) for our week. Village is lovely, very rural and peaceful with some lovely walks on the doorstep. We enjoyed walking Pen Y Fan, Dinefwr Deer Park (National Trust) and the Four Waterfalls trail. Really enjoyed food places and shops in Llandeilo which is not too far away. Sophie also provided some great recommendations for things to do. All in all a lovely relaxing week for half term.

Franz - October 2022:

We really enjoyed our stay, everything was as advertised and the location is good.

Claire - August 2022:

A beautiful, atmospheric cottage with mesmerising views of the hills. Sophie really deserves her ranking as superhost, the cottage is very professionally looked after, communication is excellent and she really cares about the guest experience. The rural village is lovely, hardly any through-traffic (apart from farm vehicles) and it's an excellent base for all the culture, heritage, walking in the surrounding area. We had a fantastic holiday and hope to return one day. Thank you, Sophie! X

Michelle - August 2022:

The cottage is fantastic, beautiful fireplace, lovely beds (very comfy) everything you need and more! Garden is fully secluded and perfect for evening meals, beds were so comfy. The village itself is beautiful, everyone was so friendly. We enjoyed the forest walk about 10 mins away but there is so much to do we need to come back again. Cannot recommend enough. Even the teenagers had fun!

DN - July 2022:

WoW! What a fantastic lovely and relax house in a beautiful landscape. A brilliant location in a very small village with no traffic. Pure relax. We went to Cardiff, the Pen Y Fan which is not far by car.

Matthew - July 2022:

Great host, lovely house and area! Highly recommended 👍

Tania - July 2022:

Spacious, super clean, well thought through accommodation with everything you need for a wonderful holiday in the Brecon Beacons. Hoping to come back again soon.  The local walk suggestions were really helpful. We used them as running guides each morning. I personally love a morning slow coffee brew - so the milk whisker and plunger were great. Thanks for letting us stay.

Alana - July 2022:

What a great place! The village is lovely, really friendly and so quiet which was ideal. It’s a great base if you want to go off walking or see castles. The cottage is lovely, rooms were big, beds very comfy. Sophie was great at keeping in touch and everything was as described. Definitely recommend.

Emma - June 2022:

All sad to be leaving!! Have had another lovely stay here! Highly recommend, property is clean, amazing attention to detail, and all the amenities you’ll need and more. It’s a real home away from home with a lovely sunny courtyard. Look forward to coming again!

Kate - June 2022:

A great find! This is a fantastic cottage in a peaceful but friendly village surrounded by beautiful countryside. 'Simple luxury' sums it up perfectly; the decor and finishing touches made it feel like home, and the jacuzzi bath was a real luxury. Communication was great and check-in easy. We had a great few days away from it all, would love to come back for longer.

Becky - May 2022:

We had a lovely stay at Sophie's property. It was exactly as described and shown in the pictures. It has everything you need for a self catering holiday, and is in a really beautiful, peaceful location. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here, the communication from Sophie was great, from the moment of booking and throughout our stay. If we come back to the area I would definitely love to stay here again!

Sue - May 2022:

Exceptional value with everything we were looking for, this property exceeded our expectations. Highlights for us were the jacuzzi bath, the log burner and the Nespresso machine! The adult beds were very comfy and the slightly smaller child beds were fine for an average-sized adult. The village was lovely and the community centre was brilliant: we bought gifts and ate a very tasty lunch. Sophie left some kind and thoughtful welcome gifts. We all agreed everything was perfect and we would come again. Don’t hesitate to book.

Adam - February 2022:

The picturesque town of Myddfai, nestled away in the Brecon Beacons is the perfect getaway for a relaxing break and Sophie has the beautiful house to match the stunning location. The house itself was spotlessly clean, very cosy and the beds are some of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. There were lovely personal touches about the house, the whirlpool bath at the end of the day is a must and what can be better than a wood burner late in the evening. Sophie was most accommodating and communication was excellent leading up and during our stay. I highly recommend Llangoedmor House and would happily stay there again on what I hope will be many return trips to the Brecon Beacons.

James - November 2021:

We stayed at Llangoedmor for a long weekend in October. It's a great place for peace and quiet, long walks in the countryside and a base to visit the Brecon Beacons area. A lovely house in a beautiful Welsh village.

Hannah - November 2021:

The property is in a very peaceful part of Wales away from all the busier parts. A visit to the community centre for some tea and cake is a must! Had the most amazing tasting scone there. There’s parking just alongside the house. It honestly had everything you could possibly need. Clean and super comfy bed. Perfect break for the two of us and the dog. Plenty of beautiful walks to choose from as well. Communication with Sophie was amazing. You can’t go wrong booking here!

Graeme - October 2021:

A great host, a great cottage, a great location and a great experience.  We hope to come again soon.

Angharad - October 2021:

A beautiful traditional Welsh cottage with beautiful homely touches nestled in the Brecon Beacons, which had everything we required for a long family weekend away in a tranquil setting. Highly recommended.

Nick - August 2021:

A beautiful cottage in the perfect location to relax or use as a base for adventures in the Brecon Beacons.

Emily - August 2021:

A beautiful house in a gorgeous part of the world. Too much to possibly do in a week including (but not limited to) horse riding, hill walking, mountain biking, stunning beaches, amazing nature, fab food, friendly locals. Comms with Sophie were perfect - a fab host! We’ll definitely be back!

Julie - August 2021:

A lovely, comfortable house in a beautiful location. We had such a nice week despite the unpredictable weather! Sophie had left us some homemade bread and some milk, eggs and preserves which was much appreciated. Gorgeous bedding and the beds were so comfy! Would recommend a walk through Prince Charles’s estate which is on the doorstep and a visit to Myddfai cafe and gift shop. The locals were very friendly and welcoming. Our dogs loved the local walks, and we also hiked up Pen y Fan and did the Four Waterfalls trail. Myddfai is a great base to explore the Brecon Beacons. We will definitely be back.  It really felt like a home from home.

Maz - August 2021:

We had a lovely relaxing stay in this beautiful house. Sophie was easy to communicate with and is a very thoughtful host.

Helen - July 2021:

We had the perfect week in the cottage. Sophie has thought of everything you might need while on holiday. The enclosed courtyard is lovely to sit in and watch the birds feeding or read your book. We spent most evenings playing one of the many games Sophie has in the cottage. The cottage is in the perfect location for long walks into the Welsh hills. The local town has a good selection of food shops and the local bakery is a must . Thank you Sophie for a wonderful holiday.

Ashleen - July 2021:

We had a great week here. The house was amazing. It is in a beautiful location and was the perfect location for everything we wanted to do.

Emma - July 2021:

Such a beautiful location and village and the property was so much better than we expected. The property was spotless, and a few added small touches really helped make the stay there. It really felt like a home away from home.  All the linen smelt amazing!  Myddfai is a peaceful location with a village hall which has a gift shop and cafe which does lovely tea and cakes. The town of Llandovery is close by for bigger amenities, and the mountains are on your doorstep. The courtyard was lovely to sit in the sun and watch all the birds which visited including a red kite soaring above. I would recommend staying here to anyone: you won’t find a fault with the place or the host. Kids didn’t want to leave. They loved their holiday; so much to see and do and didn’t get to do it all so already looking at dates to come back.

Giles - June 2021:

This house was amazing. Beautiful house, idyllic courtyard with all its birds and bees. Great location to explore and the locals we spoke to were super-friendly. Lovely touches and communication from Sophie.  Thank you so much, we could not have possibly been happier with the house and location. It was perfect.

Catrin - June 2021:

As billed - a pretty cottage in a beautiful location. Would stay again. Thank you Sophie - the added extras were a lovely touch.  Myddfai is a lovely place.

Kien - May 2021:

This place is true to the concept of "simple luxury". Thoughtful touches like the quality of kitchenware and bed linen really make the difference. The place was spotlessly clean and well-equipped. Myddfai is a lovely quiet village with lots of beautiful walks from the house. Highly recommended.

Daffyd - April 2021:

Great short stay at Llangoedmor House this week. Rural location, great for walking but only a short drive from Llandovery too. Hope to visit again later this year.

Andrew - April 2021:

We had a really lovely week in Sophie's place. It’s just so peaceful and beautiful. Great walks right from the doorstep across farmland and along quiet lanes, and longer walks in the Brecon Beacons only a short drive away. Very comfortable and cosy inside the house, with a kitchen that had everything we needed, including for home baking. We were able to work remotely during the day, with the WiFi strong enough for two simultaneous conference calls (just without video) for all but the rarest of moments. Sophie was a great host, responding very quickly to all messages. It was just what we needed to escape and relax in the countryside post-lockdown, and we would love to come back again.

Barry - December 2020:

Loved our stay at the cottage. Clean, super comfortable and cosy! A perfect getaway!

Lewis - November 2020:

When we contacted Sophie it was after being let down by a holiday park that failed to tell us that they weren't open. The car was packed and we were getting the kids from school when we found out. Sophie to the rescue! Her response times were lightning fast and we were on our way to Myddfai 20 minutes later! The cottage is in a beautiful little village surrounded by fantastic countryside. Sophie has thought of absolutely everything to make your holiday as peaceful as possible! Sophie literally saved our holiday and avoided miserable children - priceless. We'll definitely be back in the future!

Nick - October 2020:

Just had a lovely break at Llangoedmor House, it really is a peaceful and relaxing retreat. The measures taken given the current COVID-19 situation really put our minds at ease, thank you Sophie!  The village is stacked with history and very friendly locals.  The house is really well equipped, particularly in the kitchen, you want for nothing! A fabulous dresser with all the crockery you could need is available. Beds are so comfortable with crisp white linen. A gorgeous night’s sleep.  Clean, safe for dogs, walks galore, plenty of information available regarding not just the local area but further afield too, a little gem!  Prince Charles wasn’t in residence whilst we were in the area, but enjoyed seeking out his farm.  Highly recommend!

Vanessa - October 2020:

Lovely stay in a lovely part of the Brecon Beacons.  Very clean,  comfortable stay, bonus of a real fire on a cold and wet day.

Hannah- September 2020:

Such a lovely place! So comfortable, clean and in a great location. Sophie was very helpful. Can’t recommend enough.  The place was fantastic and we will definitely be recommending it to friends and family.

Emma - September 2020:

This is a beautiful cottage in a quiet village with a view of the hills. I would highly recommend staying here for its comfort, location and walking opportunities. Wonderful!

Alex - September 2020:

Most amazing hosts, and such a beautiful amazing place to stay.  Highly recommended.

Paula - August 2020:

Just home from another stay at this beautiful house and missing it already!  Very clean with a lovely new kitchen. It has all the equipment you need for a self catering holiday.  Plenty to do and see in the local area and further afield.  Would highly recommend Llangoedmor House.  The owner kept us updated and explained that there were a few bits that you have to do when leaving due to Covid-19 rules but takes a few extra minutes and I would hope all cottages have these procedures in place.  As a family we felt confident entering this property as we knew what measures were in place to protect everyone.  Already looking for 2021 availability!

Grace - July 2020:

We had a great week at Sophie's. A beautiful cottage - very peaceful and near to nature. Lovely walks from the door and nearby, and extremely comfortable place to return to. Sophie is an excellent host. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Ruth - July 2020:

This is a wonderful house to stay in. It is spacious, light and extremely comfortable. The kitchen is equipped for cooks with everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect. Gorgeous, quiet and in extremely easy reach of some absolutely stunning landmarks and scenery. One of the best walks we did was from the house. Sophie was extremely easy to contact and everything went smoothly and well. Overall, this is a stunning property and a wonderful holiday location.

Clare - July 2020:

A beautifully presented and peaceful house in the middle of the mountains in Wales. The house was so comfortable, cosy and quiet. The village is lovely to explore on foot and is a great base to experience the delights of the Black Mountain, waterfalls, forests and the coastal towns in the surrounding region. The house offers everything you need for a wonderful getaway.

Rachel - March 2020:

A fabulous house, very clean and well appointed. Lots of lovely touches and great communication from Sophie. Thank you.

Andrew and Sian - March 2020:

A lovely, spacious cottage in a superb location. Great facilities at the property including a cosy log burner and a luxurious jacuzzi bath, and extra touches added by the host. Lots of options for walks in the local area, we enjoyed a hike up Mynydd Myddfai. Great cuppa and cake in the local cafe too.  Thanks for being a great host. All the little extras you provided made a big difference.

Louise - February 2020:

Our stay at Llangoedmor House was fantastic, the pictures don't do it justice - it's much bigger than we expected. Sophie was a great host, the eggs, milk & apple treats were a great welcome and she kept in touch throughout the weekend for anything we needed. Would highly recommend staying here.

Sarah - December 2019:

We haven’t even gone home yet but felt the need to write a review. It’s been great. No other words needed. Sophie has been helpful from start to finish and the cottage is beautiful. We are just gutted we can’t stay any longer. Highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a relaxing break in a beautiful cottage in an amazing part of Wales.

Christine - December 2019:

A warm welcome greets visitors to this lovely cottage in the small village of Myddfai, Llandovery, Wales. The cottage is spacious with 3 good sized bedrooms each with excellent quality beds, bedlinen & towels. The sitting room is large with plenty of room to relax, a good selection of books, and a lovely wood burning stove to add extra cosiness in winter. The large dining room & table easily accommodates 6 people so meals can be shared enfamille. In the kitchen there is a plentiful supply of crockery and cooking utensils. The outside space is ample for outdoor meals and for little ones to let off some steam! We didn't use this area as it was a very cold winter weekend. We were delighted to find fresh eggs, freshly baked bread, and a selection of Welsh jams had been left for us. The cottage is situated in a lovely quiet village with an interesting church and a splendid Visitors Centre. I managed to spend some £40.00 in the well stocked shop and we used our vouchers for free tea & coffee in the cafe. A most enjoyable visit & a definite must for any family wanting to visit the beautiful landscape of this part of Wales.

Heidi - November 2019:

We just love it here, so much we extended our stay twice! Sophie is so thoughtful regarding having anything you could ever need in a home away from home. The area is so quiet I could actually walk my reactive dog here twice a day and did not meet up with any other dogs. The house is very spacious and is really pet-friendly. We were also advised on things to go see in the local area and we really enjoyed the walks we could do with our dog. Thank you. We will be back.

Nicky - November 2019:

This is a stunning house, warm, cosy and very welcoming. The shower and jacuzzi bath are fantastic. The kitchen has lots of little things you wouldn't expect to find such as a mixer, Tupperware and a good range of cookware. There are lots of games and a wonderful log burner for those cold and wet evenings. The village is quiet and surrounded by outstanding beauty. Sophie is a great host who does all she can to make your break as comfortable as possible and is quick to respond to any queries you may have.

Kelly - November 2019:

We’ve just got home from the most relaxing weekend and I miss this place already.  The cottage is beautiful, full of anything you could possibly need with gorgeous antique pieces without being cluttered. It also benefited from some modern luxuries like a jacuzzi bath and Nespresso machine.  Sophie could not make you feel any more welcome - from arranging the weekend, to going into some little personal treats to checking in whilst you’re there. The visitor centre close by is brilliant, such a gem for a little village. Everyone there and neighbours made us feel so welcome, we didn’t go out without someone saying a quick hello or stopping for a chat.  I have two dogs, one a real nervous rescue and this place was perfect for her. She was safe and relaxed which meant I actually felt like I was on holiday, too. So many great walks from the doorstep. We didn’t take anything with us and normally holiday lets are somewhere to sleep but we ended up going into Llandovery for a big shop so we could spend more time at the cottage enjoying it. Perfect for cosy nights.  Would absolutely love to go back!!

Emma - October 2019:

Beautifully comfortable cottage with subtly classic antique decor within an hour’s drive of stunning scenery in every direction.

Jenni - October 2019:

It’s our last day of a week stay at this beautiful cottage and we are already feeling sad we have to leave. The cottage it wonderful, everything we needed for a relaxing stay and the courtyard garden was great for our pooches. I asked loads of questions before and during the stay and replies were always quick and helpful. There are some lovely walks in the area and it’s a great place to unwind and get away from busy lives. I would not hesitate to come back here, thank you Sophie for letting us into your slice of heaven.

Sophie - October 2019:

We had a fantastic stay in this lovely cottage. It’s in a great location for exploring the Brecon Beacons and the village of Myddfai is set in wonderful scenery. The cottage is spotless and very well equipped - it is easy to cook meals there as everything is provided. Sophie is also a very informative and helpful host and we really appreciated the thoughtful extras, such as the fresh eggs and Welsh cakes . Definitely recommended for a weekend away exploring this beautiful region.

Ben - October 2019:

2nd stay at this cottage. Would do a 3rd for sure.

Simon - October 2019:

Sophie's cottage is a fantastic property in a charming Welsh village location. It is very stylishly decorated and has everything one could need for a break in the Welsh countryside. We particularly liked the extremely comfortable bed, quality linen, and cleanliness. We would definitely return.  You have done a fantastic job of decorating and equipping it with everything needed for a stay in the Welsh countryside.

Tom - October 2019:

House was lovely. Amazing views and a cosy fire. We had a great stay.

Tracey - September 2019:

Back from a 4 night stay in this wonderfully welcoming, warm and cosy cottage. Just perfect for me, my husband, and our 3 Flatcoated retrievers. Lovely base to explore the area from. Usk reservoir is a must with the dogs, beautiful woodland walk around the outside, Llyn y Fan Fach is just breathtaking though dogs need to stay on lead due to sheep. Dryslwyn castle fabulous views, Dinefwr castle and woods was amazing, again with incredible views from the top of turrets. Tally Abbey lakes. If you fly fish then Garnffrwd lake is worth a visit, the cafe, great food and dog friendly. Myddfai cafe excellent. After a long day out with the dogs walking and swimming nothing better than coming back to the warm cottage, the whirlpool bath with a glass of bubbles and the oh-so-comfy, never slept so well, huge double bed. Thank you Sophie and family! Oh and fell in love with the Myddfai trading company toiletries too.

Paula - August 2019:

Had a great week here, it’s in an amazingly quiet place, in a beautiful area.  3 bedrooms, and everything you would need for a stay away.

Emma - August 2019:

We’ve just come back from a few days getaway here and we loved it. The cottage is stunning, and a home away from home. The village is wonderfully quiet and a perfect hub for exploring. The dogs loved it, and there is a lovely tiny woodland close by called Coed Letter where they can have a good run about as well. We certainly love to come back and explore more as it truly is a wonderful escape. Thank you Sophie and family for letting us stay.

Zoe - July 2019:

Myself and my friends had such a nice weekend at Sophie’s lovely place. It was perfectly clean, well supplied and everyone was comfortable. Sophie was fast to respond with recommendations for the area. The outdoor area was such a bonus for enjoying the nicer weather when it appeared. Highly recommend, such a good first Brecon Beacons experience!

Gemma - July 2019:

Sophie's place is an amazing cottage which has everything you could possibly need for a self catering get away. The cottage is in a very peaceful and rural setting which is perfect for getting away from it all. Sophie was kind and considerate in many ways during our stay but she really helped us with a personal situation that cropped up whilst we were away and she also provided toys, books and Baby cutlery and plates, bowls and cups for my 21 month old baby. We loved exploring the area but we had to be mindful that we had a toddler with us so no long walks for us - instead we loved the red kite feeding centre, the Brecon steam railway and Llandeilo and little walks around Myddfai to see the sheep and of course the many tractors! All in all I can highly recommend Sophie's lovely cottage....

Lauren - June 2019:

Situated in a very small village, this property has everything you need! The beds are probably the best I've ever slept in and the view of the hills from them were a treat. Sophie provided us with some eggs and bread which was much appreciated by the group! There's a little patio area/courtyard to the rear which is a perfect little sun trap on the evenings. The location seems secluded and quiet but there are amenities nearby and I would recommend driving the 30 minutes to visit Llyn Y Fan Fach Lake which is breathtaking. I would definitely return as would the friends I travelled with as it's the perfect little home in a perfect location.

Kirsty - June 2019:

So now the laundry is done & grocery shop finished, I can write about our fantastic little break in Wales...  We stayed at Llangoedmor House, Myddfai, it's a super, cosy cottage with everything you could ever need! Kitchen was well-equipped, beds all clean & comfy, wood burner for those chilly nights, all-in-all it was very homely but spacious.  Lovely little touches included blankets, towels, hot water bottles, fresh baked bread & jam & eggs on arrival. We were able to come & go as we please with our own key & we explored the local area, including a 'local hike' & the visitor centre in the village for tea & cake, we made a point of visiting the Royal Mint & Llansteffan Castle & beach, both days were fantastic!  Llandeilo was a very nice place to visit, full of 'unique' shops & splendid ice-cream! (check out Llandeilo Lighthouse - lovely clothes & super personal service!) Weather was extremely good, with hardly a drop of rain, but we took wellies & coats in case (a warm hat on the beach was also a good idea!) Thank you Sophie for allowing us to stay in a beautiful cottage & stunning location, we will return!

Lisa - June 2019:

We had a wonderful stay at Sophie's place! The house was very clean and we had everything we needed. The bread and eggs were much appreciated. We hope to return again sometime and would definitely recommend.

Eleanor - May 2019:

A really cosy cottage in a beautifully quiet village. A great base for exploring the Brecons and after a hard day’s walking coming back to a log fire, whirlpool bath and a very comfy bed. Sophie was a wonderful host, very attentive, I couldn’t recommend Sophie and her lovely cottage highly enough. You really will enjoy your stay.

Non - May 2019:

What a fab house! Stayed here for my wedding and it made for lovely photos. Comfortable, clean, original features galore and personal touches everywhere. Will definitely be back!

Nicky - March 2019:

This really is a home from home. Very comfortable and beautifully clean and made all the more special by lovely personal touches, you really feel welcomed.

Pippa - March 2019:

Everything you could possibly need was there. It was clean and comfortable. Very small village but everyone friendly.  Beautiful walks.

Keiran - March 2019:

Lovely house in a great location. The house has everything you need, and is decorated to a high standard. Kitchen was well equipped, log burner in the living room was ready to be lit when we got there, and the beds were super comfy and the complimentary eggs, bread and jam were a lovely touch. Great place for getting out into the countryside and Sophie as a host was perfect. She provided all the information we needed before hand, and then let us get on with our stay. Thanks for a great weekend, we will be back!

Vicky - February 2019:

Had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Was really peaceful. The kids loved cuddling up in front of the fire. Felt like home. Many thanks Sophie for all the little touches. X

Samantha - January 2019:

This place is great value and in such a great location. A tiny town of about 27 houses in a beautiful setting close to everything in Brecon Beacons. The house is large and beautifully appointed. Sophie was a great host and was quick to respond on any queries. The bed was like a hotel and sooo comfortable. Loved the tub and the hot water bottles were very welcome in the snowy weather. Highly recommend!!

Amelia - January 2019:

A lovely clean, stylish and relaxing place to stay. The cottage is finished to a high standard and has all the little personal touches that make it feel homely. A super base to get to Llyn y Fan Fach/Fawr to do the lake and ridge walk and to Usk Reservoir... not far from Pen y Fan either. Nice little local walk from the front door too. 3 miles to the Llandovery for all amenities.

Tim - November 2018:

Wonderful place in a picturesque setting. Lots of nice touches. Highly recommended place which we will be returning to.

Kate - November 2018:

Cosy, clean and very comfy. Loved the books selection!

Tom - October 2018:

Sophie's house is the perfect place for a quiet getaway. We were looking for a cosy but stylish place to relax, read, and spend time together without the distractions of modern life! It was a really nice touch that Sophie provided eggs, milk, bread and tiffin for our arrival. The lounge is a great space to get comfy and chill out. There is a log burner with logs and kindling provided, which we enjoyed using every evening! A lovely separate dining room where you can eat your meals with a beautiful sideboard stocked with every piece of crockery you'd need. There are three bedrooms, a double master room, a twin and bunk beds for little ones - all a good size and comfy! The bathroom is spacious with a jet bath (and overhead shower), sink and toilet. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking equipment, very clean and functional. The central heating is a Hive system, which was very modern and very effective. The village of Myddfai is small yet the visitor center has lots to offer; cafe, shop and local info. Sophie provided information on two local walks we could do which were both under two hours and easy to mid range. The views from the hills are stunning and it's worth the drive to Llyn Y Fan Fach and the walk up the hill to the lake as this is stunning even on a windy October day!!!

Vicky - September 2018:

A fabulous homely cottage with fabulous amenities in an even more dreamy location to explore the Beautiful Welsh countryside! Sophie was a fabulous host and so helpful! Would highly recommend.

Helen - September 2018:

Stayed for two nights to join in with a family party at nearby Aberglasney gardens. The house is very elegant and spacious and has lots of character. We really enjoyed the lovely lounge and wood burner and the beds are super comfy too. We were very sorry to leave. Thanks Sophie.

Mike - September 2018:

A wonderful, peaceful & cosy cottage. Perfect place to get away from it all. Great communication from Sophie from start to finish. We loved our few days there & will return one day. Mike & Joanna & the 3 amigos (pups).

Ryan - September 2018:

The house is immaculate and exactly as shown in photos if not better. We were welcomed with a little personal note, bread, milk and eggs and the fire set up ready to light. The beds are so comfy and the house warm and quiet allowing a perfect night’s sleep. Great welcome guide with everything you need to know and some great tips of things to do in the area which we followed and thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you Sophie for a relaxing getaway, we will be back in the future I’m sure!

Olivier - September 2018:

The cottage we stayed was just perfect, it is such a lovely place in a quiet and peaceful town. Sophie is a fantastic host with great communication and is happy to answer any questions even before arrival. The cottage itself is beautiful, with three big spacious rooms and a big bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with all cooking utensils, and Sophie kindly provides some, milk, eggs and bread. There is a Co-op nearby in the next town to complete your shopping needs. I would highly recommend to stay here and if I ever find myself in Myddfai again I would definitely stay here again.

Jan - September 2018:

Who would not like this property right now? We would like to live in this way. Tasteful decorations, beautiful furniture and very complete. Located in a very quiet village. Excellent starting point for trips across the entire Brecons.

Eleanor - August 2018:

An excellent house. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable - especially the beds! The village is small but has a visitors centre with excellent cafe and gift-shop that opens daily. Close to Llandovery with a supermarket, pubs, takeaways etc. Good things to do locally plus good access to other attractions further afield. Sophie is an excellent host, great communications and lovely treats (cakes, bread, eggs and milk) for us when we arrived. Would definitely recommend.

Nicky - August 2018:

If you're looking for tranquillity in beautiful surroundings then this is the place. Sophie is a fantastic host who takes pride in her property and always responds quickly to any question. We arrived on a Saturday and were delighted to be greeted by a welcome note, cake bread, eggs and milk. Thoughtful essentials for our family’s arrival. The cottage is beautiful.  The pictures really don't do it justice. Although it rained all week the log burner and calming surroundings more than made up for it. We're already looking to come back next year.

Marianne - August 2018:

If your priority is a calm, clean, uncluttered and elegant setting in an old house in a picturesque little village in stunning Welsh countryside, then this is the place for you! Our family of four (children 10 and 7) had great days out exploring followed by relaxing evenings at home playing board games and chilling in front of the tv. Comfy beds, great shower and cool jacuzzi bath completed the experience.

Joe - July 2018:

Sophie's space is fabulous. Everything is as described and actually better than that! It's a lovely old place with stylish and useful updates where needed. Quirky levels, modern floor covering, and latches on the wooden doors gives you a nice feeling within the space.. :) Well located in a very welcoming village, you're ideally situated for anything you'd wish to do in this stunning part of Wales! Will definitely return.

Stephen - July 2018:

We had a lovely stay. The cottage is clean, spacious and well presented. There is plenty of space and the beds are very comfy. The area is peaceful and idyllic and it's a perfect place to escape and unwind. Sophie kept us well informed throughout and there were plenty of things to see and do in the area.

Alvaro - July 2018:

We enjoyed our stay at Sophie’s place. The bedrooms were impeccable, and the house was very clean. It has a cupboard full of plates and other dishes to use, which we really appreciated. Sophie also left some eggs, milk and cakes for us, and we loved the detail. We also enjoyed the board games available!

Rebecca - July 2018:

Beautiful cottage - we are so enjoying a restful break here - both the kids and the dog are exhausted from long days out at the beach - and we are sat in the beautiful courtyard garden enjoying the evening sun. Am torn between recommending this to all my friends and family or keeping it to myself so I can come more often!

Crystal - July 2018:

Sophie’s place was absolutely wonderful. We got slightly lost but a local from Myddfai walked us over to the home. The home is charming and has everything you will need for your stay. Sophie has a book of information for you as you walk in which was very helpful. The house is beautifully decorated and cozy. I sincerely hope one day I can return on another visit.

Heather - July 2018:

Llangoedmor House is a wonderful oldey worldey cosy home with everything you could possibly need. The beds are extremely comfortable with top quality bedding. There is a cosy garden to relax in with non stop entertainment provided by the many birds who call daily. Myddfai is a rural peaceful village, but there are plenty of walks on your doorstep and a good supply of shops, pubs and eateries in Llandovery. Sophie is an excellent host who left us a welcome gift of cake, egg and milk. I would definitely recommend a holiday there.

Lynne - July 2018:

Wow what an absolutely lovely cottage and village. So quiet you can hear the birds all day long. Enjoyed the cottage so much we hardly left it ! Having the Visitor’s Centre on the doorstep is a real treat wonderful food, crafts and staff so friendly. We were a bit restricted in what we did as Millie our dog is in recovery after a serious operation on her leg, but having said that we still enjoyed every minute and hope to return again soon.  Thank you so much Sophie & family.

Marcus - June 2018:

Just back from a stay in this lovely cottage. Wow, what can I say, set in the village of Myddfai this is one of the most if not best places I have visited in the UK.  Stunning views walks places to explore, red kite feeding show, the list goes on. The cottage has everything you need plenty of room lovely courtyard fully enclosed the for your pets. Also a big thank you to Sophie who was extremely helpful in sending me information if I requested. I will definitely return.

Simon - June 2018:

As a family of 5 + 1 dog the house was ideal for us. The kitchen was well kitted out, the large dining room was great and the lounge very comfy, loved the wood burner! All the bedrooms were very stylishly made up and the beds were also very comfortable. A thoroughly enjoyable place to stay.

Nicola - June 2018:

Perfect for our stay in wales for the Man vs Horse event. About 25 mins to the village where it starts and 10 min taxi to the nearest town with plenty of pubs. The house is fab with everything you need and great communication from Sophie. I would recommend.

Chrissie - May 2018:

A beautiful house. Beautifully decorated, everything we needed for our stay was available, set in a stunning location. Well worth a visit.

Jess - May 2018:

We have just got back from our stay this weekend - we had a lovely visit! The cottage was fabulous and everything we needed was clearly laid out for us, even down to maps of the local walks! We will definitely return again!

Nicola - April 2018:

Went for my mum's 60th birthday (who stayed in a cottage nearby) but my boyfriend , brother and his wife (who visited from Chile) stayed with us. Such a spacious home and felt exactly that - homely. Everything you needed in the kitchen including eggs and bara brith! Fireplace was lush in the evening and everything beyond expectations. Was far, far better than the cottage my parents were staying in locally ! Top marks for everything. We had some lovely Brecon walks and great local pubs! Would definitely recommend and stay again Xxx x

Erwan - April 2018:

Ben - April 2018:

Lovely cottage, great location.

Anna - April 2018:

We’ve just returned from a 4 night stay at this beautiful house. From the very moment we booked Sophie was incredibly helpful and always prompt with email replies. The house itself has a lovely cosy feel to it combined with small luxuries such as the super-king bed and jacuzzi bath. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We all thoroughly enjoy our stay (even our dog loved it) and would highly recommend a stay in this gorgeous house and location. Thank you! x

Kirstie - April 2018:

We had a lovely week at Llangoedmor House just before Easter. We were delayed by the snow, but Sophie could not have been more friendly or helpful in all respects. The cottage is beautiful. So peaceful, spacious and comfortable.. It's very tastefully furnished and had everything we needed for our stay, in fact it's the nicest cottage we have stayed in in a long while. The walled courtyard garden was a godsend for our little dog who is such a calm and well behaved dog in all respects apart from being an escape artist - but no chance of this happening here, phew ! We really enjoyed watching the blue tits whilst washing up and the Red Kites are in abundance all around the quiet hamlet of Myddfai. We came home feeling very rested after our stay. Thank you Sophie

Tanya - March 2018:

Just back from our 4 night stay at the cottage. From the moment we walked in we knew we would love the place. Cosy cottage full of character, big open fire and comfortable furnishings. The upstairs of the cottage was gorgeous, the bedrooms and beds were brilliant and the bathroom was lovely, big spa tub..great! The area was peaceful and beautiful, the locals were so friendly and welcoming. Llandovery itself was a fantastic little town with great places to eat and drink. We will definitely be staying again as we really enjoyed ourselves and so did our pooch Stella. Thanks for the opportunity Sophie. Xx

Maggie - March 2018:

Beautiful home in an idyllic location. Excellent communication from Sophie. We could not have asked for anything nicer. We will be definitely going back and would highly recommend. Thank you so much we had a really nice break. Your hospitality was second to none.

James - March 2018:

Our stay here was fabulous. We stayed an extra day because of the weather (snow). Sophie was very understanding and flexible in this situation. A lovely part of the world, great landscape. Kids loved the jacuzzi bath. Thanks for a great stay.

Ian - February 2018:

Love the personal communication from Sophie, and the nice gift awaiting our arrival.

A - February 2018:

What a treat! Such a lovely, comfortable stay. From the blankets and stove in the living room to the jacuzzi bath, soft towels and really comfortable beds! We had a great long weekend, ideally situated to explore the area and not too far to the coast. Really homely comfortable place, the milk and eggs were welcome too. Would definitely recommend, thanks again Sophie!

Simon - February 2018:

Very clean and comfortable home! The bedrooms felt newly furnished and the house warm throughout. Exactly the same as the photos. Host was contactable throughout our stay and even messaged us when there was news of earthquake in wales to check on us. Great place for family/friends. The park is right at your doorstep too.

Anna - February 2018:

Sophie is an excellent host. Very helpful and friendly. The cottage is an amazing place, simple luxury surrounded by beautiful scenery. Thank you for such a lovely stay Sophie.

Natalie - February 2018:

Such a lovely little house in a beautiful location. Perfect for walkers and the house is great for dogs too with an enclosed garden and stone floors downstairs. Sophie was a great hostess and had quick responses to any queries. The house was lovely and clean, with lovely soft fresh bedding and towels. A warm, cosy, secluded house perfect to get away from it all. Highly recommend. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your lovely little house, it was everything we hoped for.

Laura - January 2018:

Lovely clean and comfortable house.

Joanne - Christmas 2017:

Sophie was an excellent host. Communication was easy and all information about the property was clear and thorough. We stayed here over Christmas and really appreciated everything Sophie did to make the experience extra special for us. The area was beautiful and everyone we met in the village was friendly and helpful. We went on some excellent walks and enjoyed visiting the local red kite feeding centre. The property was lovely and quiet due to the village location. I would definitely recommend if you want a relaxing countryside break. The cottage had everything we needed and was true to the photos provided. The house was lovely, clean and cosy with wonderful extras like the hot water bottles. We couldn't fault anything in the property.

Raisa - December 2017:

LOVED this place! Perfect location, clean, cozy and fully stocked with everything we needed! The house is in a lovely little village, in a beautiful countryside setting. It was exactly what we wanted for a relaxing weekend in the Brecon Beacons. Sophie has been incredible right from the start! She was always very quick to respond, kept us updated on anything we needed to know (including very useful information we hadn't even thought to ask!). Detailed instructions were provided as well as very useful recommendations of things to do in the area! She even left us a little Christmas treat under the tree! She is a very thoughtful host and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. There wasn't a single thing to fault about this wonderful home and its lovely hostess! Would visit again in a heartbeat :) Thank you Sophie!

Natalya - November 2017:

This is a beautiful and tranquil house in a lovely village setting and is perfectly located for exploring the surrounding area. I highly recommend staying here.

Carolyn - November 2017:

What a find..... such a superb home from home accommodation. Sat on a comfy sofa in front a roaring fire with a G and T! I would recommend this stunning house to everyone, so well equipped and welcoming with the most comfortable bed and silky soft linen. Thank you Sophie for all your help in hosting me and my darling grandmother. We will go out of our way to return and stay here again.

Charlie - November 2017:

Great location to sit back and unwind! The house has everything you could need and is very well thought out. Amazing walking in all directions and Sophie’s instructions and support were second to none! Thank you!!!

James - October 2017:

This is a cosy and thoughtfully renovated property in a peaceful and beautiful location. Sophie has provided everything you would need for a stay, including a clearly written and helpful house manual. Communication from the host was excellent. The decent WiFi connection is a big bonus for those who still need to stay connected to the outside world. Thoroughly recommended!

Sara - October 2017:

We've just spent a wonderful week in Sophie's house. The house was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and warm and welcoming. The location is fabulous having the National Park right on the doorstep but near enough to local amenities/shops and good pubs. Sophie is a great host and went the extra mile to provide a lot of thoughtful extra touches to make our stay perfect. After a long drive from London, it was wonderful to find milk, teabags and wood for the fire. Thank you for little treats on our arrival - very much appreciated. We slept so well in the very comfortable beds and on days when the weather was wet, the house is so relaxing that we enjoyed the peace of sitting by the fire with a good book. There is so much to see and do in the local area and we left wanting to return again soon. Thank you for sharing your lovely house with us.

Yves - October 2017:

If you need to relax in a warm and cosy cottage, then Llangoedmor House is the place you're after. The house is welcoming, Sophie provides you with all information you need either for running the house or for the places to see and visit in the area. Myddfai is a quiet little village. Everybody make you feel welcome thanks to their kindness (we recommend a visit to the village center). The area is really beautiful. Perfect choice for a family stay!

Daniel and Gwawr - September 2017:

The house was idyllic! Perfect for our needs and exactly as described in the listing. Even though it's a very old house it's still very cosy and homely. Would definitely recommend a stay here and wouldn't hesitate booking again.

Rachel - September 2017:

A lovely place to stay for anybody considering a break in the Brecon Beacons. We would highly recommend, the hosts made it feel like a home from home.

Gordon - September 2017:

We had a lovely time at Sophie's beautiful house. It's been recently renovated with a lot of care and thought and had everything we could need. The village is lovely with lots of great walks close by. The visitor centre and red kite feeding centre are both worth a visit. Sophie gave us lots of good information prior to the trip. We'd love to visit again in the future …

Jenny -  September 2017:

If you are looking for peace and tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place for you. An immaculate house which is full of character. Sophie provided a host of information regarding both the property and local surroundings. You can't fault it nor the host. My best Airbnb stay, it'll be a hard one to match let alone beat.

Andy - September 2017:

We had a brilliant time, Sophie's house is lovely and we particularly enjoyed the cozy lounge and having a quiet drink in the courtyard garden. We used the stay for a walking break on Pen Y Fan in the Brecon Beacons and its location was good. We didn't explore our surroundings, but reading the visitor book suggested there was plenty of interesting things to do outside of walking the hills! After a tiring day’s walk, the bed was comfortable, beautifully presented and clean. Thanks again, Andy.

Shuli - August 2017:

Our first Airbnb adventure was to Sophie's beautiful retreat. Cottage is traditional and beautifully styled to feel luxurious and tranquil. Crisp bedding, fluffy towels and well-stocked with kitchenware and books. Sophie could not have been any more helpful before or during our stay. Loads of stunning walks, adventure activities and interesting sites within driving distance. Thanks so much!

It was a wonderful stay in a wonderful village in your wonderful cottage. We loved the way you've done it up and all the little touches. And thanks for being so attentive in communication before and during our stay.

Rayne - July 2017:

If you're wanting to stay in the Brecon Beacons, this is the perfect place. In a quaint Welsh village, people are friendly and the staff in the visitor information centre (right behind the house) are so happy to help. We arrived to a selection of eggs and Welsh cakes (which we fell in love with). There was enough coffee pods for one morning, And also instant coffee and tea. The beds are comfy and the house is super clean. Plenty of parking right outside the house!

Janet - July 2017:

Fantastic cottage. Welcomed with a gift of milk, fresh eggs and Welsh cakes, what a lovely surprise! Beautifully decorated interior, lovely soft muted shades in every room. Comfy furniture, and a woodburner in the lounge, complete with a basket of logs! What more can you ask for? But there is more.... 3 bedrooms, all simply furnished with comfy beds and pristine white bedding. Large bathroom with shower over the bath, and fluffy white towels to wrap yourself in. Kitchen opens onto a lovely courtyard, with picnic table and umbrella, fully enclosed, so great for the dogs, no worries about them escaping. Beautiful large dining room with pine table and chairs, slate floor and gorgeous rug.

Went to the Visitor Centre just around the corner for a light lunch, which is well worth a visit.

Great communication from Sophie and brilliant instructions for everything we needed to know about the cottage.

Used taxi to go the 3 miles into Llandovery for a fantastic evening meal at The Bear, a really homely, quirky restaurant, which was brilliant value for money.

All in all, a wonderful holiday cottage which is well worth a visit. Thanks for sharing it with us! Xx

Xavier - July 2017:

Super cozy place! The house design was beautiful and we enjoyed it a lot during the two days we spent there.

Kimberley - July 2017:

Absolutely lovely house in a tranquil and beautiful location. Loved the little courtyard garden!

Margaux - July 2017:

Incredibly charming house in Myddfai! We used this as a "home base" as we toured various parts of Wales and it was perfect. There are tons of walks near the house and many within a twenty minutes drive. (Our favorite was the hike up to the "Lady of the Lake" glacial lake! Perfect for photography, walking, and sheep-sightings). I highly recommend this place and Sophie-- she was quick to respond with suggestions about where to go and answered all of our questions. The house is also very comfortable and beautiful (most comfortable beds ever!) and includes a kitchen area you can use and even an outdoor patio in the garden. Would definitely return for a longer trip (ideal place for a week + type of rental).

Ash - June 2017:

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and we really appreciate the little touches. Having a stair gate and extra kids bits made for a much more enjoyable stay, the house was extremely well equipped, clean and comfortable with good quality bedding and comfy mattresses! Communication was great and we had a truly lovely stay, in fact we were very sad to leave! The location could not have been better for the wedding we attended at the local community hall and all in a stunning setting. Highly recommend!  Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and we really appreciate the little touches. Having a stair gate and extra kids bits made for a much more enjoyable stay, the house was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Communication was great and we had a truly lovely stay. The location could not have been better for the wedding thank you very much. :)

Jamie - June 2017:

The house was well equipped and immaculately presented the was no negatives only positives to our break away.

Jon - June 2017:

What a lovely home from home!  Nice enclosed patio for dogs and children, nice walk for the furry just up the road at Coed Letter (Be aware of the sheep). Nice quiet friendly village and not far from the beautiful Brecons. Beds and bed linen were excellent.  Well worth staying here for walking holidays. It was hard to drag ourselves home.

Alexander - June 2017:

The house is really nice and comfortable and ideal to start your exploration of Brecon Beacons.

Debbie - June 2017:

The cottage has very high standards with everything you could need for your stay. There was milk, eggs and Welsh cakes provided for us. The cottage is clean and well set out. The beds are so comfortable and the bathroom is fabulous. We were able to cook our own food and all equipment was supplied. Will definitely book again and would highly recommend others to book as Sophie is friendly and helpful. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage.  OMG the cottage is amazing we were so sorry to leave. It was way above our expectations. Hope to visit again.

Emma - June 2017:

This is a beautiful, spacious house. We had four people but it would be equally comfortable with six. Sophie left fantastic instructions for the house, including a list of things to do and see while in the area. We went to see red kites being fed - can't recommend that enough, it was the highlight of our trip. The village of Myddfai is very small, but has a neat visitors center/ cafe/ gift shop which is worth a visit. Llandovery is a ten minute drive away and has some lovely pubs as well as a co-op for groceries.

Tracy - May 2017:

The moment we stepped through the doors of this property we felt at home. It was delightful, warm and comfortable. We looked forward to returning to it each day of our stay! Relaxing in front of the wood burner every evening! The beds were extremely comfortable with clean, fresh and soft bedding. The kitchen was very well equipped. It was a shame the weather wasn't kind enough for us to enjoy the quaint courtyard garden. Throughout the house the standard of decoration was excellent. The quiet and still village that surrounded the house was idyllic, with only a church and a community hall, which was the hub of the village. The staff there were very welcoming, serving light lunches, tea and coffee. There was a small gift shop too! The property was a perfect location for us to visit our relatives who live in the neighbouring village of Llandovery. The owners of the property were very attentive, receiving a telephone call a week before to confirm our arrival arrangements. We very much look forward to returning to Llangoedmor House.

Anne and Rob - April 2017:

It has been a pleasure to be your first guests. We have spent a lovely week in Llangoedmor House with a busy weekend with a family wedding in Myddfai church then a relaxing few days exploring. If you travel as far as Glasbury, River Café is a great place to eat alongside the River Wye and a stroll along the canal in Brecon is a good, peaceful walk.
